Incorrect watering is reported to be the cause of plant wilting 80% of the time.
Plants wilt because they are not thoroughly watered, but too much water leads to root rot more often than you would think.
With SUStee you will always know when is the perfect time to water your plants.
1. SET
Insert SUStee into the soil at the base of the potted plant to the depth between the “►” and “◀︎” arrow markers.
2. WATER
It will change colour from white to blue within 20 to 30 minutes after watering.
3. MONITOR
Blue ⇒ enough water in the soil.
White ⇒ in need of watering.
HOW IT WORKS
SUStee is the first moisture checker with a pF value indicator (available water capacity) for your home!
With SUStee the root’s ability to absorb water – or the plant’s “thirst” becomes visible.
There is a “pF-value” spectrum which is good for all plants (“ideal moisture level “). SUStee is designed to start changing its colour from white to blue at the middle value of the “ideal moisture level “. This way, the “ideal moisture level ” suitable for every plant can be monitored for every type of plant and soil.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND ECONOMICAL
SUStee’s inner core is made from non-woven cotton and will decompose because of bacteria in the soil.
Depending on the kind of soil you will have to replace the inner core within 6-24 months after insertion.
Changing the core is done in two steps. It is easy and can be done by anyone.
